Diana Ross stepped into the 1980s with Why Do Fools Fall in Love, a lively and polished album that blends soulful vocals, brilliant pop melodies and dance energy. Released as her first album after leaving Motown for RCA Records, it also marked an important milestone, as Diana took charge of producing the entire record herself. Featuring the upbeat title track, the beautiful Lionel Richie duet hit "Endless Love" re-recorded as a solo performance, and the infectious "Mirror Mirror," the album offers a wonderful mix of romantic ballads and upbeat dance music. It's a fantastic showcase of Diana's versatility and a memorable piece of her early '80s musical journey.
