    The Hollies are one of Britain’s great harmony-driven bands, formed in Manchester in 1962 and known for turning catchy melodies, ringing guitars and three-part vocals into some of the most memorable pop rock of the ’60s. With hits like “Bus Stop,” “He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother” and “Long Cool Woman (In a Black Dress),” they successfully moved from the British Invasion era into a tougher ’70s sound without losing their knack for a great chorus. Led through much of their classic period by Allan Clarke and Graham Nash, the band released more than two dozen albums, with 21 considered to be the official studio album number, along with many live, singles and compilations, making their vinyl catalog a deep and rewarding one for fans of classic British pop and rock.
