Tanya Tucker’s Changes captures a different side of the country star, blending her trademark husky vocals and Southern attitude with a smoother, more polished early-’80s sound. Released in 1982 on Arista Records, this 10-track album explores love, heartbreak, and personal turning points through a mix of country storytelling and pop music arrangements. Highlights include “Feel Right,” “Baby I’m Yours,” “Shame on the Moon,” and the title track “Changes.” Produced by David Malloy, the album stands out as Tucker’s only release for Arista, making it an interesting chapter in her career for fans who enjoy classic country with a contemporary ’80s twist.
