The Chambers Brothers’ Love, Peace and Happiness is a powerful double-LP from 1969 that brings together the band’s gospel roots, soulful vocals, and adventurous psychedelic rock sound. One record features studio performances, including the extended, 16 minute title track, while the other captures The Chambers Brothers performing live at New York’s legendary Fillmore East. The combination of uplifting harmonies, tight grooves, and long, free flowing performances makes this album a fascinating snapshot of an era when soul and rock were coming together in exciting new ways.
