    Blame It On The One I Love is Kelly Willard’s debut solo album, released in 1978, and it’s got that warm, heartfelt vibe that feels like a cozy Sunday afternoon. It blends folk-pop with early contemporary Christian music, making it both soothing and spiritually uplifting without being preachy. The songs are simple and honest, with titles like “Dear Jesus” and “Me, Myself in Christ” that reflect Kelly’s personal faith journey. She played much of the piano herself and was joined by a dream team of musicians, including Abraham Laboriel on bass and Randy Stonehill on guitar. The album was recorded under the Maranatha! Music label in Southern California, right in the middle of the “Jesus music” movement. It’s not flashy, it’s just real, raw, and refreshingly unpretentious.
