Don McLean’s American Pie is a timeless folk-rock classic that captures the feeling of looking back at a changing America through unforgettable storytelling and warm acoustic melodies. Its legendary eight minute + title track reflects on the changing face of rock ’n’ roll, while “Vincent” offers a beautiful, heartfelt tribute to painter Vincent van Gogh. Released as Don McLean’s second studio album, this record combines thoughtful lyrics, gentle guitar work, and a nostalgic sound that feels both personal and larger than life. With two major hits and a blend of folk, rock, and great songwriting, American Pie is an essential listen for anyone who appreciates music with a story.
