    High Voltage is where AC/DC lit the fuse. Released in 1975 in Australia, this was their very first studio album, and it’s got that scrappy, no-frills energy of a band just starting to roar. Bon Scott had just joined the crew, and his vocals are full of grit, like a guy who’s been kicked out of every bar in town but still owns them all. The Young brothers, Angus and Malcolm, were already cooking up those raw and bluesy signature riffs, with zero polish, just straight to the punch. The album was recorded in Sydney’s Albert Studios, and it’s got that garage-band feel, like they plugged straight into a wall socket and let it rip!!
