    Foreigner's Inside Information was released in 1987. It was the last hurrah for the band’s classic lineup, and you can feel that bittersweet energy pulsing through the tracks. “Say You Will” kicks things off with a polished punch with rock guitars wrapped in glossy keyboards, like leather with a silk lining. Then there’s “I Don’t Want to Live Without You,” a soft, heartfelt ballad that became their only No. 1 on the Adult Contemporary chart, proving they could tug heartstrings just as well as they could shred solos. The album was recorded in New York, and behind the scenes, tensions were brewing, with Lou Gramm and Mick Jones clashing over the band’s softer direction. Still, the album went platinum and gave fans one last dose of Foreigner’s signature blend of rock grit and pop polish before the lineup changed and the band’s sound shifted for good.
