Original Masters is a compact tour through Jethro Tull’s most celebrated years, bringing together 12 tracks from 1969–1977 in one remarkably varied collection. Released in 1985, it jumps from the instantly recognizable “Living in the Past” and “Locomotive Breath” to “Aqualung,” “Songs from the Wood,” and the shortened single version of “Thick as a Brick.” It’s an easy way to hear how Ian Anderson and company moved from bluesy beginnings into folk, hard rock, and progressive rock territory without ever losing their unique personality. For a vinyl buyer who wants the essential Tull experience without collecting stacks of albums, this is a very approachable starting point.

Genre/s: Classic Rock, Progressive Rock, Folk, Blues
For Fans Of: Genesis, Traffic
Official Release Date: November 13, 1985
