Johnny Paycheck’s Take This Job and Shove It is the album that turned a rough-edged country singer into a full blown working man's icon. Released in 1977, it features Johnny Paycheck’s unforgettable recording of the David Allan Coe written title song, which became his only No. 1 country hit. Produced by Billy Sherrill, this vinyl album mixes honky-tonk heartbreak, drinking songs, working man blues, and outlaw attitude across all 10 tracks. It’s short, punchy, and a perfect snapshot of Paycheck at the height of his 1970s run.
