    David Carroll’s rePercussion is a wonderfully fun 1959 album built around the sound that made David Carroll such an interesting figure in the early hi-fi era. It has lots of percussion, crisp arrangements, and a huge variety of instruments working together. Rather than being a straight jazz record, it sits comfortably in between easy listening and the “space-age” sound that was becoming popular at the time.
