    Released in 1971, Fragile wasn’t just another YES album, it was a creative explosion. The band had just swapped out their keyboardist, bringing in Rick Wakeman, a classically trained wizard who could make a synthesizer sound like a symphony. Instead of writing every song together, they tried something extra cool. Each member got their own solo track to show off their unique musical skills. So you’ve got Steve Howe’s acoustic masterpiece “Mood for a Day,” Chris Squire’s funky bass showcase “The Fish,” and Wakeman’s quirky classical mashup “Cans and Brahms.” However, the real magic happens when they unite, like on “Roundabout,” a swirling, kaleidoscopic journey that became their biggest hit. The album cover, painted by Roger Dean, introduced the surreal, otherworldly style that would become Yes’s visual trademark.
